Straight Block

The Straight Block typically makes up between 80-85% of the ICF wall assembly on most residential and commercial jobs. This block has six strong, full-length injection, molded plastic ties made from Polypropylene (PP) regrind resin that are well marked with the words “Fox Blocks” located on both sides of the block. These ties secure the two pieces of modified Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam together that make up each block type. The blocks are stacked tightly together and inter-locked end to end to the desired wall length. Once a single layer or course of ICF blocks is installed, horizontal reinforcing steel bars are inter-locked securely together in the ties of the blocks, then another course of Straight Blocks are placed firmly on top as the wall is built. To improve construction wall strength during installation, each course of blocks should have their end-joint connections staggered in a running bond method from the course adjacent to it. This installation method is typical for all Fox Blocks ICF form types and sizes. T Block

The T-Block (Short Leg) typically makes up 1-2% of the ICF wall assembly on most residential and commercial jobs. This block has eight strong, full-length, injection molded plastic ties made from Polypropylene (PP) regrind resin that are well marked with the words “Fox Blocks” located on all sides of the block. These ties secure the three pieces of modified Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam together that make up each block type. The blocks are stacked tightly together and inter-locked end to end to the adjacent Straight Blocks. T-Blocks are typically used in walls where two walls intersect each other, an exterior wall to an interior wall. The T-Block is engineered/designed to minimize the amount of form bracing and eliminate blow-outs during the placement of the concrete.

Radius Block

The Radius Block is a specialty block used to build curved walls. These pre-molded blocks are 16″ long, allowing the designer the opportunity to build a curved wall section in any length needed. Available current radiuses are 5′, 6′, 7′, 8′, 9′, and 10′ only with a 6″ concrete core width. Ordering these radius blocks is a special order.

Corner Block

The 90 Degree Corner Block typically makes up 15-20% of the ICF wall assembly on most residential and commercial jobs. This block has six strong, full-length, injection molded plastic ties made from Polypropylene (PP) regrind resin that are well marked with the words “Fox Blocks” located on both sides of the block. The corner block also has one patent pending corner bracket designed like no other in the ICF Industry. This 7/32″ thick x 1-1/2″ wide corner bracket was engineered to add more strength/support to the block because it connects the inner/outer modified Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam panels together and is designed to eliminate blow-outs during the concrete pour.

45 Degree

The 45 Degree Angle Block typically makes up less than 5% of the ICF wall assembly on most residential and commercial jobs. This block has five strong, full-length, injection molded plastic ties made from Polypropylene (PP) regrind resin that are well marked with the words “Fox Blocks” located on both sides of the block. The 7/32″ thick x 1-1/2″ wide corner bracket was engineered to add more strength/support to the block by reinforcing the corner once the wall is built to eliminate blow-outs during the concrete pour. The bracket has a marketed exterior fastening surface that is very large on both sides of the block to secure exterior veneer finishes. The ties secure the two pieces of modified Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam together that make up each block type. The blocks are stacked tightly together at the corner locations and inter-locked end to end to the Straight Blocks to the desired wall length. Once a single layer or course of ICF blocks is installed, horizontal reinforcing steel bars are inter-locked securely together in the ties of the blocks, then another course of blocks are placed firmly on top as the wall is built. To improve construction wall strength during installation, each course of blocks should have their end-joint connections staggered in a running bond method from the course adjacent to it.

Taper Top

The Taper-Top Block typically makes up 1-2% of the ICF wall assembly on most residential and commercial jobs. This block has six strong, full-length, injection molded plastic ties made from Polypropylene (PP) regrind resin that are well marked with the words “Fox Blocks” located on both sides of the block. These ties secure the two pieces of modified Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam together that make up each block type. The blocks are stacked tightly together and inter-locked end to end to the desired wall length. Taper-Top Blocks are typically used at the top of the wall where the width of the concrete core needs to be increased to support other adjacent lateral loads (i.e., exterior roof truss loads, interior floor joist loads, hollowcore, etc.). Once a single layer or course of Taper-Top Blocks is installed, horizontal reinforcing steel bars are inter-locked securely together in the ties of the blocks.
